Kalanggaman Island

Went to Kalanggaman Island, Palompon Leyte with Jesse last Monday. It was by far the most amazing beach I've ever been! I love how remote the island is, perfect for taking refuge away from the city. There were no electricity available on this island, as well as fresh water, food, and rooms. Might as well bring your own. Though there were a few lamp posts there, which depends on solar panels. Anyway, I'm so thankful for Galore Tours for this promo because everything was just worth it! Spent P1,050 for the trip, P800 for the boat and P250 for the entrance upon reaching the island.
The starting point of this trip was at Angasil Port, Lapu-Lapu. Meeting time was 6:00am, and the boat left around 7am. It took about 5 hours to reach the destination.
After 5 hours of trying to sleep but couldn't do so, we finally arrived at our destination. The first thing that came to my mouth when I saw the island was "wow". It was really amazing, especially the sand bar. The island was small, it takes around 30 minutes to walk around.

On the front part of the Island, there were a lot of corals! Perfect for snorkeling! I was so excited to take a swim!
But before we went swimming, we had to take our lunch and set up our tent since we were going to spend a night there. Here's a picture of our home for a day! :)
We chose a spot that has a view towards the sea.
Here's a clearer view of our spot. Amazing huh?
Heading towards the sand bar.

It may not look so long in the photos, but trust me, it's a long way towards the end.
with my boyfriend, Jesse
The water is crystal clear, and there were no seaweeds near the shore, which was perfect for me coz I hate seaweeds!
An umbrella is a must if you're going to the sand bar. The heat of the sun is just crazy!
A few of many underwater shots we had!

Check out those giant clams!
Aside from swimming, snorkeling, taking photos, playing with the waves, we also made a sand castle! Haha!
Later in the afternoon, my boyfriend decided to explore the other side of the island. I was kinda' hesitant at first because we were the only ones going towards the other side at that time. Thank God we went to the other side!
The view of the sunset was beyond beautiful!
There was an interesting tree, which was great for taking pictures! This tree kinda reminds me of National Geopraphic's Logo. Haha! ;)

The rocks by the water wre interesting as well. Had to take pictures with it also. Haha!

A lot of people missed the sunset, they came seconds after the sun went down. So if you're planing to visit this island, always make time for the sunset! ;)
It was getting dark, so we head back to our tent and made dinner.
At night, the sky is so clear, you can see the stars above. I haven't taken any photos coz I wasn't able to bring my other lens for my camera. The perfect spot for star gazing would be at the sand bar. Saw a few shooting stars that night! :) The sun rises by the sand bar, so again make time for it! Sorry, wasn't able to take photos of it.
Left the island around 11:30am instead of 12.
Since we left early, we were able to make a quick stop where the water was so clear and had a lot of corals.

So that sums up everything! The whole island itself was picturesque. Everything was beautiful! Will definitely come back for this island this summer! :)

Have a great weekend everyone! :)

xx,
Sophia
