Circa 1900: Casa Dos

Monday, July 11, 2016

Last week, my fellow bloggers and I got the chance to experience the newest addition to Circa 1900, Casa Dos. Even though I got to see the place before it was finished, I was still amazed by the outcome. Every corner is picturesque. I love how new the place is, but the way you feel when you're in there is like you're in a different era. Beautiful architecture, great ambiance.

Casa Dos includes Cicada, a tapas bar and alfresco casual dining, swimming pool facilities and function space. As Casa Uno has established a reputation for fine food and wine, Cicada at Casa Dos will be known for its casual comfort food for lunch and in between meals, tapas, and drinks before dinner or for after dinner drinks.
Their swimming pool opens from 7 in the morning til 10 in the evening. Beside it is a garden, which can also be used as a reception area.
Dining choices include casual or more refined, innovative cuisine, and comfort food, however service standards though relaxed must still exude international standard while offering value for money.
Here are some of my favorite dishes that I got to try in Casa Dos. First up is the Barbecued Prawns with Mango, Semi-dried Nangka and Spiced Pineapple Salsa. I love salad, especially if there are prawns in it!
Spicy Seafood Sisig Pizza with Thai Basil and Fried Garlic. I love spicy food, I love seafood, I love basil, I love garlic, and I definitely love pizza! What more can I say? All of my favorites in one pizza! I'm starting to think that this pizza was made for me. Haha! ;)
Another favorite is their Pasta Aglio Olio with Char-grilled Vegetables. The reason that I l like this one is that it reminds me of my boyfriend's cooking. And I just love everything that he cooks! :)
Their Spice Rubbed Baby Back Pork Ribs is definitely a must try for me. It's cooked right and the meat was just mouth watering. Perfect when paired with their Redstone Potato Wedges!
As for dessert, their Revel bar is my favorite. It's rich and chewy, loaded with fudgy filling!
The unique feature of this venue is that it offers mid size function space, the venue itself has preserved the architecture and design of its time, but with the character and atmosphere that exudes the comfort of the contemporary.

Casa Dos is located at Sanjercasvil Road, Gorordo Avenue, Lahug, Cebu City, Philippines.
